Is Online tutoring the Best Solution For the GMAT Exam Gap?
Some people feel that taking the GMAT two years in advance of the exam will give them an advantage. Others believe the opposite. I suggest that you research the topic well and go over all of the possible reasons why you might want to take the exam two years in advance. Then ask yourself whether or not you have enough time to prepare for the exam. For example, if you are preparing for your state exam, then maybe it would be best to take the GMAT test in the winter. If you are preparing for a career change, then maybe you should take the GMAT test in the summer.
Another question is, “Can I take the GMAT online?” Yes, you can take the GMAT online, but I would not recommend it. There are many reasons why GMAT preparation needs to occur with a real person.
The first is that testing companies don’t care how many questions you answer or how well you do on a practice exam. They only care about results. With an online test, it is impossible to track your progress, but you can get a sense of how long it will take you to answer all of the questions, and you can even get an idea of how much you should expect to learn. That can be helpful in two different ways: it can give you the motivation to continue studying and it can give you a better idea of how well you’re prepared for the real thing.
However, online GMAT exam tutoring is not always the best way to address the GMAT Exam Gap. In most cases, your classmates are doing just as well as you. They may be getting extra help because they live a little further away, or they are in a different city. Neither of these issues is important to a real GMAT tester. What’s more important to them is getting the answer to their question. They may be more motivated to study for the GMAT because they know that others who took the exam are probably struggling with the same questions.
When you’re going to a tutoring center, all of your friends have access to the same materials. So do your neighbors. The only difference is that they’ll be taking a lot more time than your friends. While I don’t recommend this route, some people do find that getting tutored by a few good study buddies motivates them to study faster.
You can also make the most of your downtime by learning by yourself. There are many resources out there on the internet that will help you study efficiently and effectively. If you have enough free time, why not take this opportunity? Even if it’s not for GMAT preparation, you’re sure to get an excellent understanding of the subject.
There’s a lot to be said for choosing a self-study method. If you have the motivation and the time, this could be the ideal route for you. You have all of the convenience of a tutoring program but without the hassle and expense. And best of all, you’ll get a thorough grasp of all the material with little to no outside assistance. You will understand the concepts better, memorize the details and you will certainly get ready to test with confidence.
